When Instagram introduced Stories, we all (aka social media fanatics) got kind of excited! Then we found ourself in a limbo.. What’s now about Snapchat?

My first reaction was on using both platforms. On Instagram I have a much larger audience but at them same time I find Snapchat more fun.

After of couple of days of twinning I found myself bored of sharing the same moments on two platforms, a joke said twice wasn’t maybe than funny anymore and most of the time the moment was gone by the time I was switching..

At the moment I am leaving Snapchat behind. Apparently I can still survive without a puppy face 😉 I might check in here and then but you will mainly find me on Instagram Stories.

I do not share myself brushing my teeth or tidying the house – that’s why they are called highlights, right? I share daily what’s behind the scene of my blog, my life with Emma, recommend places I visit, events and anything related to fashion.

I did enjoy a lot sharing with you this week the behind the scene of this post created with Scotch & Soda. In case you missed it, I visited the Blauw kitchen in the Pijp area on Tuesday, the cutest denim concept store. I tried on the whole Amsterdam Blauw collection and loved receiving your messages about your favourite pieces! The messages I loved the most were the ones saying that ‘it was like spending the day shopping with me’.

I feel that now on Instagram we can really tell the full story behind an outfit shot. The day of the photo shoot, I loved sharing videos of the details of the clothes, the contrast colour lining of the shirt and coat, the shining details of the sweater, the ‘love’ patch on the inside of the denim and the quality of the fabrics.

I picked pieces which really reflect my style. The simplicity of a boyfriend jeans paired with a striped shirt and a contrasting striped coat was the ones which immediately caught my attention at the store. I put them together for you in a very wearable way for this end of summer transitional weather.. when we already want to jump into the fall colour palette but cannot leave behind our statement sandals.

This week I became very fond of Scotch & Soda, so surely I will show you more of this Blauw collection very soon.. In the meantime, see you on Instagram Stories and who knows, until the day the funny filters will make an appearance, I might not resist checking in Snapchat now and then!

I love to shop for items that are perfect for an every day use like this Tommy Hilfiger stripy sweater. You can never go wrong with stripes and if you just add some fancy accessories to spice it up you are are going to give the right personality to your outfit.

It was the perfect casual cool ensemble to stroll around The Hague on last week sunny weekend! Blue stripy sweater, skinny ripped jeans and matching grey Onitsuka tiger created a comfy, yet stylish look.

Off duty looks are always my favourites and since the sun is still not strong in Holland (we still need a jacket most of the days) I paired my new Colmar jacket. It has the perfect biker jacket design but in a lightest material than regular leather. A match made in heaven for transitional weather!

In case you’d like to take this casual look into the evening, it’s possible and easy! The jewellery already allows you to dress up the casual sweater. You just need to add sandals with heels or pointy pumps and knot the jacket around your waist (it’s very cool at the moment) and you are ready for an aperitivo in a cool bar in the city!

Remember last month I took you to my favourite Amsterdam 5 star hotel? (here in case you missed it). This time I went a bit outside my comfort zone and I decided to show you a place that maybe would’t be on your top five list when you visit Amsterdam, but it definitely should! Imagine a sunny day, blue skies, leaving the urban business behind, just entering a little door and finding yourself in a beautiful and intimate oasis where you can explore a unique collection of plants (not sure I did that!!), the most photogenic palm trees and cactus without having to travel overseas (absolutely did that!!) and enjoying your cappuccino in the cutest cafe (never miss that!!).

Several warm glass houses, which will make you forget you are fighting the winter season in Holland, with walkways to climb up the ceilings and get a great view from the top. . and #fwis shots for the fellow instagrammers. . Just don’t wear high heels. . #justsaying . .

If you were wandering if my life is all about my phone and hangs out in photogenic places (preferably with wifi and a good lighting). . You are almost there! It’s also about clothes, shoes and bags . . again #justsaying. And of course, photography! I am loving to have some green in my feed, palm trees and cactus, in case you missed it on my Instagram here . . It just adds that ‘holiday feeling’ and since I am not in the position of travelling to California with the little one at the minute.. What’s better than finding the real deal in the centre of the city?

By now, I am getting quite fond of the look of my phone, being my never-leave-the-house-without prime accessory.

Only coming second to my baby girl and credit cards obvs.. B.E. (Before Emma) the phone case was just an extra accessory or something which would make my phone prettier.. Now, it is still something which makes my phone prettier, absolutely loving the Symmetry Series grey case (it shows the rose gold colour of my iPhone and loved it paired with the grey all-around detail) but since my phone became the main attraction for the little one, it keeps dropping on the floor, the street, out of bed, on the tram, she even tries to chew it now #nojoke. . You can only imagine where I would be by now without a strong case.

Finally, you know, I never miss the chance to try a new cafe spot, a good cappuccino and a photogenic coffee art. The botanic garden accommodates a lovely cafe which accommodates a huge tree inside. How pretty and unusual is that?!

I can’t wait for summer days, for a break from the traffic, sitting in the outside garden, having my cappuccino while Emma will experiment walking and maybe will give a break my phone. What I also can’t wait, is showing more about this city and its less touristic hidden places!

OVERSIZED EVERYTHING

I never come back from Italy empty handed! I did promise you some shopping! Didn’t I?! I found this oversized blazer and vintage Levi’s 501 and I couldn’t wait to pair them. The oversized blazer is irresistible this fall and the jeans is a good option to the regular skinny .. This look was literally calling my name!

Maybe I am just in the autumn spirit but these shapes gave me many new ideas for layering . . Stay tuned.
