I never have enough of casual chic looks, that’s who I am. A casual look elevated by feminine pieces and designer accessories is always what defines my personal style and it’s something that has evolved over the years.
Curious to find out when my inspiration is coming from?
Straight leg vintage Levi’s (legit from a vintage store and frayed hem operated by my scissors on my living room table) and new Gucci loafers paired with the latest cut white shirt trend (more here), layered with my beloved black leather jacket.
I do follow trends but I never wear clothes I don’t feel good or comfortable in.. That’s why, for me, there are never enough white shirts, off shoulder tops and layer of necklaces at the moment. The one I am wearing today from Dressfo is the perfect combination!
Good part of my time is spent into researching images from the web, magazines, tumblr, Instagram.. In order to be on top of the fashion game I think daily inspiration is vital. Sometimes I bump into an image that in reality would so not be my vibe, but it links to something else and generated a new inspiration. The ‘so very fashionable’ lace up tops that we are seeing everywhere now mostly come in a black tight sexy version. I’ve been looking for a more relaxed one to be able to wear during the day and in a light colour for spring.
I couldn’t be happier when I found it at Shein and coming on a budget price too!
Amsterdam still allows denim and long sleeves (.. not sure if that’s an advantage with June at the door), but I am excited to be wearing this top many more ways during summer evenings with shorts and flat sandals.

Writing today’s post from Italy on my birthday in a total state of happiness! Emma is asleep next to me, my boyfriend is flying in from Amsterdam, I am getting ready to go out to celebrate with my friends and family, and a birthday trip to Venice is coming on Monday.
As a thirty-something girl, together with my lifestyle, also my style is adjusting and becoming more stable. This means less trend-experimenting and more awareness of what my own style is about. If you ask me what I will be wearing this spring summer I answer, without a shadow of a doubt, my closet will be made of denim, whites, black and tan colours. I went through a lot of ‘fashion stages’ and it took me about thirty years to become so firm on my own taste but there are some combos that never get olds.
Denim on denim.
While it’s tempting to wear my boyfriend jeans all day every day, it doesn’t hurt to shape up the denim game introducing a skirt and pairing it with a different wash denim shirt and statement OTK boots. Finally, I am not the kind of girl who likes to look too sexy, especially during the day, so I felt very comfortable adding a black knit to dress down the entire look and giving a chic touch added by the gold details.
