I am back in Amsterdam for a few weeks before my next trip to Italy, after spending the most amazing and fun weekend in Paris with OtterBox together with my bestie Lorna and another dozen of fellow lovely bloggers.
I’ve been working with OtterBox for almost a year now and I was very excited to finally meet the marketing team in person and they proved to be even more lovely! I was so proud to find this out since it’s really important to me to truly love the products and company I suggest you guys. It’s part of my integrity and will always be a fundamental part of my work ethic in my blogging career.
OtterBox took us to Paris for their Symmetry Street event. It took place at Le Pavillon des Canaux. You must take a look at it, in case you missed my Instagram Stories.. People having brunch in a bath tub, my Chanel blending in a completely red room or groups hanging out in a baby-room-look-a-like bed.. It was the craziest and cutest location ever to host a party.
The Symmetry Street event was all about street style and street art! Star of the day was the artist Raphael Federici creating and showcasing his charm artwork on a wall made of phone cases (how cool is that!). Everyone could enjoy themselves getting creative decorating their own case or just sipping a drink by the river. Guess what was my choice! 😉
It was the perfect Sunday in Paris with the most wonderful company.
As I am writing this post from Amsterdam, with a heart full being reunited with my little Emma, I can’t help being already a little nostalgic of London. Especially when you are lucky enough of getting such sunny days, the energy you get from this city is just unique. These 4 days in London have been like ‘going back home’ for me. After living there for seven years, it still feels like I never left. I’ve spent a lot of time with my bestie Lorna and met all my londoner fellow bloggers at the Apartment while taking over the Otterbox_Europe instagram account. It’s been a fun long weekend!
For my first look of this fashion week I chose to mix nineties vibes adding very feminine touches with dainty jewellery. Navy, black and white with gold details. We couldn’t be luckier with the weather since I really wanted to show you my new ThingsEyeLove jewels and the sun played a great part in making them shine so beautifully. I will keep showing you these pieces in the following fashion week posts because they’re just too pretty!
When I say Amsterdam it still doesn’t feel like home. In a way it’s a strange feeling living like a tourist in your ‘new’ home town. On the other way it’s fun to discover new places every day and look for new and different shooting locations.
Just a ferry ride away from Amsterdam Central Station and you are at the Eye Film Institute, an archive and museum of dutch and foreign films screened in the Netherlands. The architecture is just beautiful.
I was wearing a proper fall look, you know, when you wear a cashmere sweater but you can still afford to go bare legs. I am never really wearing bright colours but this time is a total black look. I can’t get enough of leather and culottes, so when they come into the same item, it’s a go! I styled them with a cashmere sweater from All Saints for a dressed down attitude and paired them with these Miu Miu loafers to give a chic, yet comfy touch.
I love experimenting seasonal trends and love the beginning of fall so we can start layering.. I thought, why not trying something different this time? – The next post will be the second episode. I was inspired by the long lines the designers introduced for this and next season so I paired this sleeveless knit vest for the lenght and versatility. This grey knit was one of my favorite finds in Zara last year and still going strong. The chunky knit works well for the skinny jeans and the vest underneath wore it over skinny jeans gives that dress-over-pants vibe. Finally the blush ballet pumps add a feminine touch.
I also just recently layered this over-sized sweater with a longer shirt underneath and distressed boyfriend jeans for a more casual look but yet cool for a weekend look around Amsterdam. See it on my instagram here.
A long layer wore ‘underneath’ may sound a little over the top, but paired with casual pieces defenetely made it more ‘me’.
