PAJAMA TREND: HOW I MANAGED TO LOVE IT
Have you ever thought before the 2016 pajama trend boom, to leave the house in your nightwear and still feel fabulous?
Pajama dressing can definitely be tricky and I was surprised to discover how much I am actually loving it and appreciate the comfort and elegance of wearing silk. Inspired by the catwalks of Celine and Balenciaga but not exactly jumping in it both feet.. This means, I am not wearing the full set. Instead, I tried to think how I could make the pajama trend more wearable and inspirational also for you.
As long as I love trends, I didn’t dare to wear the pajama full set out in the streets. If you do, I would make sure to add sleek accessories to complete your look! You don’t want people to think you just rolled out of bed!
I am wearing the panama set separate. You can take a look on how I styled the blouse on my Instagram and now, the pants paired with a chunky knit to make it look less pajama and more comfy-chic.
I thought I would never argue with a fashion trend which privileges comfort. I have to admit that this one can be quite tricky.. While styling these outfits, I thought the best way of feeling good in it, was mixing and matching with my wardrobe staples.
Finally, some things I learnt by pulling of the pajama trend and tips for you:
- If you are going to choose a full pajama set, go 100% silk. It will add more chicness and less weirdness 😉
- Choose sleek accessories. You will look more elegant and the focus won’t all go on your nightwear but will spread around your whole outfit.
- Mix and match with you favourite wardrobe staples. It will make you feel and look more comfortable in it.
Now, it’s time to elevate your nighware and set it free to the streets of your own city!
