I never have enough of casual chic looks, that’s who I am. A casual look elevated by feminine pieces and designer accessories is always what defines my personal style and it’s something that has evolved over the years.
Curious to find out when my inspiration is coming from?
Straight leg vintage Levi’s (legit from a vintage store and frayed hem operated by my scissors on my living room table) and new Gucci loafers paired with the latest cut white shirt trend (more here), layered with my beloved black leather jacket.
I do follow trends but I never wear clothes I don’t feel good or comfortable in.. That’s why, for me, there are never enough white shirts, off shoulder tops and layer of necklaces at the moment. The one I am wearing today from Dressfo is the perfect combination!
Good part of my time is spent into researching images from the web, magazines, tumblr, Instagram.. In order to be on top of the fashion game I think daily inspiration is vital. Sometimes I bump into an image that in reality would so not be my vibe, but it links to something else and generated a new inspiration. Now that the weather is – supposed to be – warming up – and we really enjoyed summer temperatures back in Venice two weeks ago – it’s finally time to start talking summer fashion!
If you are seeking for inspiration, have already been stalking instagram streetsyle stars, devouring vogue and any sort of fashion magazines, pinteresting spring/summer trends, I am sure you have been told to buy at least one white shirt!
Fashion trends speaking, Spring/Summer ’16 is definitely going to make our life easy because who doesn’t own a white shirt?? The good news is that the most coveted item for this coming summer, is most probably already sitting in your closet! I mean.. How cool is that?? You can be trendy while saving money!
Now, if you don’t feel like investing in a new piece, fair enough!
You can still be owning a latest trend piece with what you already own or even borrow from the boyfriend.. hopefully your boyfriend is a good big size so you can sport the oversized look! Otherwise, if you feel like a shopping afternoon of fun or some indoor shopping moments at your laptop, you can upgrade your shirt game. In this case, and it’s my favourite part, the shopping part, what you should bare in mind and make sure to strike a goal are white shirt dresses, cold shoulder shirts, big bell sleeves or oversized shapes.
My passion is to show you how we can wear each season top trends in a realistic way. But let’s be honest, sometimes designers make it pretty hard for us non-models walking the city streets instead of the catwalks.. We are mere mortals after all, aren’t we?? So I am super excited this spring since one of the main trends was already one of my favourite and wardrobe staples! What’s best to wear in spring/summer than a white shirt?? This closet classic is shaping up in so many possible choices, one of my favourites being this Lemon-B shirt dress I layered underneath a leather jacket during my latest trip to Venice.
A big yes to this ultra-accessible trend!!

With the arrival of winter I had to put away my white culottes but I could not abandon the trend. I spotted these Warehouse ones on Vogue and they had to be mine. I immediately felt in love with the check print, the colour.. and the price tag!! When I style culottes, I like to tack-in the top to highlight the waist. Its a Maje fine knit in this case. It keeps me warm but doesn’t add volume. Finally I wore them with my inseparable biker and jumper on shoulder to maintain a dressed down look.
A way I like them as well is in a more sporty version, with a loose white shirt and kicks.
