Welcome to Day2 (SHOES part1) in #7daysEssentials challenge. My shoe essential in the past year have been, without a shadow of a doubt, my slip ons. I do own a little collection! Since I bought my first Zara pony skin pair I have not stopped . . But I do have a little regret. If I knew I would have wore them so much, I would have bought the Celine! Now it’s too late. My closet is now divided into work and off time, so it’s my shoe closet. Later today I am going to feature my very first Love, which I can only wear on my days off . . Trainers of course!
If you see me around, you will probably see me wearing this @majeofficiel leather jacket featured this morning on #7daysessentials Day1. I love this oversized one and I am obsessed with black leather jackets..I am planning a MASSIVE cut down of my wardrobe and define it to the things which I love but especially that I am actually wearing! I am planning to sell all the things that are not working anymore for me and setting new buying rules. The first one is Designer only for pieces I can wear often (including work days) and for longer than one season. High street for the pieces which will be soon overstated and super trendy. Basically all those thing which I won't wear anymore in a few months. @style_by_aggie is currently writing super interesting posts about her shopping rules!
Today I am going to introduce you a new IG #7dayschallenge called #7daysEssentials As the self-explanatory name I will feature my wardrobe essentials for the next 7 days in the following order Day 1. Leather Jacket/Coat 2. Shoes 3. Jewellery 4. Bag 5. Top 6. Bottom 7. Blazer-Anyone is welcome to join me and to embrace the spirit of the game you have to think the way ‘what would I pack with me if I had to run away in 5 minutes’ or ‘if my house goes on fire’ (kind of thinking-but I did not want to think to melodramatic!). So we are talking down to Very Essentials here! The aim of the game is to help everyone who is struggling with eliminating noisy pieces which are simply accumulating dust and set up rules for ourselves. Some discipline never hurt anyone, right? I look forward to all your comments and advice on the subject and let’s get started!
At the beginning of May I went back home for a few days to see my family. Even if for a short time, it always re-charges my batteries to spend time with my beloved and enjoy some early-summer italian weather. I have a ‘love-hate’ relationship with London and the time off always puts me back into the ‘love’ phase.
Sartorially-speaking, stripes are often my time off staples, lately always accompanied by my glorious Stan Smith.
Every time of the year conveys, or brings back (in this case from the 90’s), new trends. Each trend always travels along a relevant list of must have all fashionistas are willing to follow, or not. But at least give it some consideration to be embraced.
For 2014, it looks like, this piece from the 90’s it’s making a comeback with a payback! Leather, Denim, Cotton, Suede . . Each stores and magazines are full of choices.
Personally, it is something I will consider planning my summer holiday wardrobe!
My only concern on overalls is thinking of me wearing it as a early teenager. I looked hideous! Pants with an extension . . anything but feminine ! But oh God, now the biggest names in the industry are supporting it and they kind of set our minds.

But, wait a second! It is true that looking that at this leather one above, I already see it with different eyes! This is no longer what is set on my mind I was wearing 15 years ago, but a sophisticated piece drawn in luxury materials.
